This policy explains what personal data KERN.studio(“we”, the “data controller”) collects, why, on what legal basis, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any request, contact us at kernstudioagency@gmail.com.
Who we are
KERN.studio is a visual-communication studio based in Italy, worldwide. We are the controller of the personal data described below. Contact: kernstudioagency@gmail.com.
What data we collect
- Enquiries, name, email, phone, company and the message you send through our contact form.
- Client accounts, the email used to sign in to the client portal, and the projects, deliveries, comments, files and messages exchanged within it.
- Team accounts, name, email, role and profile photo for studio members.
- Technical data, strictly-necessary cookies/session tokens to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.
Why we use it & legal basis
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes, legitimate interest / pre-contract.
- To deliver our services and run the client portal, performance of a contract.
- To send transactional emails (delivery ready, review reminders, account access), contract / legitimate interest.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations, legal obligation.
Who processes your data (sub-processors)
- Supabase, database, authentication and file storage.
- Vercel, website hosting and delivery.
- Resend, transactional email delivery.
- These providers act as processors on our behalf under data-processing agreements. Data may be processed outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept as long as needed to follow up and for our records. Project data is retained for the duration of the engagement and our legal/accounting obligations. Review preview media is automatically purged about 30 days after a delivery is approved. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any right, email kernstudioagency@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
